A big thank you to PhD student Maia Vierengel (Salaita lab) for selecting us for the article, and for the amazing graphics!

The Buccella lab moves to Emory University starting Fall 2024.

Undergraduate star Kelvin Vuong is inducted to the Phi Lambda Upsilon National Chemistry Honors Society in recognition of his academic achievements.
Well deserved, Kelvin!

Congratulations to graduate student Veronika Shchepetkina on being the recipient of an Honorable Mention in the highly competitive NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program!

Finally coming together in person to celebrate three years of Buccella group graduates.
Very proud of you, Drs. Michael Brady (PhD ’21), Brismar Pinto-Pacheco (PhD ’20), and Elsy El Khoury (PhD ’22)!
Elsy El Khoury defends her PhD thesis on molecular indicators for vibrational detection of cellular analytes.
Congratulations, Elsy!
Michael Brady defends his PhD thesis on highly selective, ratiometric sensors for Mg2+ detection.
Great work! Congratulations, Michael!

This Thanksgiving, we volunteered to be ‘tree stewards‘ in Washington Square!
The Buccella lab and members of the NYU Chemistry community spent an afternoon weeding, watering, and planting new vegetation for the Spring.
A big thank you to Elsy El Khoury for coordinating with the NYC Parks stewardship program. A great way to nurture physical and mental health while contributing to a greener, healthier neighborhood!
